Cipó Canastero Gallery

The Cipó Canastero, or Asthenes luizae, is a near-threatened ovenbird, endemic to the Brazilian interior; in fact, it's only found in a handful of locations in the state of Minas Gerais, including the Serra do Cipó National Park. Clearly, the internet needs better images of this relatively plain but much sought after species, which I managed to find and successfully photograph only after many hours of searching among the rocky outcrops of the higher region of the national park (see my trip report for more details).
